Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I use Bateman's Credit Services Ltd for credit control services?
We offer very competitive rates (as detailed on the credit control page) for a professional and efficient service. You will find that your fees are paid sooner and you have fewer bad debts. Your needs are our priority so we take care to understand your expectations and then exceed them.
How much does the credit control service cost?
You can either outsource your whole ledger to us or just the debts that you are having particular problems with. Details of our fees can be found on the Credit Control page of our website. We have to charge a higher percentage of the invoice value for our fee if we are only assigned one off debts rather than multiple debts. As with some of our other clients, you may find it most beneficial to you for us to deal with everything from invoicing to receipt of funds so that you are able to focus on your core business. If you opt for this then charges will be looked at on a case by case basis depending on the volume of work involved.
What areas do you cover?
We cover a large proportion of the UK as face-to-face meetings are not required on a regular basis. We are based in Southampton so most of our clients are based in London, Hampshire and the surrounding counties.

We specialise in legal firms as we understand their particular needs and we have experience with all types of funding e.g. CFA's, LSC, Trade Union, Insurance backed.
How much does the consultancy service cost?
Please contact us as it depends on your needs and location. We offer a free initial consultation. An estimate of the time needed to complete the project will be provided at the outset and will be evaluated every fortnight. Any amendments to the estimate will be discussed with you before further work continues.
What are your payment terms?
Invoices will be raised on a fortnightly basis and payment is due on receipt. Our preferred payment method is by cheque.
What will happen if the invoices are not paid promptly?
We reserve the right to halt all work until full payment has been received and we also reserve the right to charge interest as per The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (as amended in 2000 and 2002).
